How are cricket bats graded?
The grade of a cricket bat affects more than just its appearance - it has an impact on the way it feels and performs. In a nutshell, the lower the grade, the higher the quality of the willow used to make the bat. Grade 1 bats are the best of the best, and feature straighter grains and virtually no imperfections for ultimate power and consistency.
I’m new to the Kookaburra cricket bat range - which bat should I buy?
Tricky to choose the right bat, isn’t it. With so many different options available, selecting the right one for you is a tall order, but that’s where we can help. Our team knows the Kookaburra range inside and out, and with plenty of real-world, hands-on experience, they can explain the differences between each bat to help you find the one that’s right for you. If you need a little advice, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.
What is a Kookaburra pre-prepared bat?
Most of Kookaburra’s bats are ‘KPP’ (Kookaburra Pre-Prepared) models. Carried out by hand at the factory, this preparation process ensures your bat will perform well straight out of the box. However, carrying out a ‘knocking in’ procedure yourself is still recommended in order to maximise the durability and performance of your bat.
